Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a Professional Engineer (PE) license, a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, and a minimum of 4 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute water and wastewater infrastructure projects from conception to completion, including planning, design, permitting, and construction oversight.
- Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and technical analyses to develop cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
- Prepare engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and construction documents using industry-standard software and tools.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Perform quality control reviews, field inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior staff members to foster professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Minnesota or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater engineering projects, preferably in consulting or municipal sectors.
- Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, regulations, and best practices.
