What You'll Do
- Produce detailed steel and concrete construction drawing sets using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks with minimal supervision.
- Develop structural plans and details that align with architectural intent, building codes, and OSHA standards.
- Apply BIM modeling protocols to ensure consistency, accuracy, and innovation across all project phases.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to deliver coordinated, high-quality deliverables.
- Support field work by visiting project sites to gather measurements and verify existing conditions-primarily within the industrial sector, including pulp and paper, food processing, and manufacturing facilities.
- Contribute to a culture of mentorship by supporting junior team members and sharing best practices.
Requirements
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Architectural Technology, Structural Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (Bachelor's degree is a plus).
- 2-5 years of experience in structural drafting or detailing, preferably within industrial or commercial construction.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is essential.
- Familiarity with BIM standards, building codes, and OSHA requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with limited direction.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and field measurements.
