Key Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical and mechanical design drawings using CAD software.
  • Interpret codes and regulations to inform construction and electrical designs.
  • Create plans for electrical panels, feeders, lighting, and mechanical layouts.
  • Conduct site visits to gather design data.
  • Assist in generating drawings, cost estimates, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technicians.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including user manuals and as-built drawings.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives for design and planning efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Experience with control systems, PLCs, and industrial automation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 70E).
  • Familiarity with OSHA electrical construction requirements.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
  • Physically capable of performing fieldwork tasks.

Education

Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
