We're looking for an experienced Building Automation Technician to join a highly skilled team delivering essential government-sector building automation projects across Chicago. This is an ideal role for someone who wants long‑term stability, exceptional support, and a clear pathway to career advancement.
What You'll Do
- Install, service, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) in government and public facilities
- Program BAS systems from scratch, including full logic development, graphics, I/O mapping, and commissioning
- Troubleshoot and optimise system performance across HVAC, lighting, and energy management controls
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and government stakeholders
- Deliver test procedures, documentation, and ongoing technical support
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of BAS/BMS/Building Automation experience
- Proven ability to write control programs from scratch (Niagara, Siemens, Honeywell, Delta, Johnson Controls, Schneider, etc.)
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving capabilities
- Experience with government, municipal, or large commercial projects (preferred)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
