The Opportunity
This role is suited to an experienced consultant looking to take ownership of projects, lead client interactions, and contribute to the continued growth of a respected building envelope practice.
You'll be working on a diverse range of projects, focused on investigation, diagnosis, and remediation of building enclosure systems, while also playing a role in mentoring junior staff and supporting team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead building envelope investigations across roofing, waterproofing, façade, and fenestration systems
- Perform and oversee field inspections, forensic evaluations, and condition assessments
- Prepare and review detailed technical reports with clear recommendations
- Develop repair and rehabilitation design solutions and provide construction-phase oversight
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining and strengthening repeat relationships
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams on complex projects
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to overall team growth
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA)
- 8-12+ years of experience in building envelope consulting, forensics, or restoration
- Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships
- Strong technical knowledge of building enclosure systems
- Experience in failure analysis, report writing, and repair design
- Confident communicator with a client-focused mindset
