Mid-Level Civil Engineer (Water/Wastewater) Raleigh, North Carolina
We are looking for a skilled Mid-Level Civil Engineer with expertise in water and wastewater systems to join our innovative team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that improve water quality, enhance system efficiency, and promote environmental sustainability.
In this role, you will work on the design, implementation, and optimization of water and wastewater treatment systems while ensuring regulatory compliance and meeting client needs. With a strong foundation in civil engineering, you will collaborate on projects that safeguard natural resources and support sustainable water management practices.
Main Responsibilities:
Design and evaluate civil pipeline and conveyance systems, including water and wastewater treatment facilities, water distribution systems, sanitary and storm sewer systems, and pump stations.
Conduct water quality analyses and system modeling, perform data analysis, and contribute to projects involving resiliency, drainage, flood management, and stormwater systems.
Perform site reviews to ensure design alignment with location specifications and update requirements as needed.
Prepare technical specifications and contract documents for publicly bid design projects.
Review and approve designs and reports for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Manage assessment and design activities, potentially functioning as Task Manager or Project Technical Leader.
Contribute to regulatory compliance programs and ensure adherence to firm policies and practices.
Collaborate with sales teams on proposals and client engagements to drive business development.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and help develop their careers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
7+ years of related experience in water/wastewater system design and engineering.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required by specific project needs.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory frameworks.
