Overview: This environmental consulting firm is seeking an Environmental Seller-Doer Consultant to support the growth of their environmental projects and environmental practice. This position will support service areas including but not limited to ecological services, site investigations, remediation, air quality services, water resources management, civil engineering, and other areas of environmental consulting. This position provides opportunities to manage the development of environmental contracts, lead bidding and proposal preparation, generate leads and develop new business, and the ability to work closely with operational & technical leaders across the firm

Responsibilities:

  • Sell and secure contracts to clients with revenue expectations of $300,000+ in net revenue per year.
  • Supports the selling and execution of site investigations such as due diligence, phase 2, soil/groundwater investigations, vapor intrusion, etc. and remediation including remedy selection, remedial design, environmental engineering, remedial construction, operations and maintenance.
  • Ability to support the firm's environmental service line with in depth industry knowledge, promoting sales, program management, and project execution.
  • Management of the development, negotiation, and administration of environmental related contracts
  • Oversee the preparation of bids and proposals for environmental projects, collaborating closely with operational and technical leaders to apply financial standards and operational processes, ensuring the highest quality submissions.
  • Delivers sales presentations and informational seminars to potential clients, actively participates in industry trade organisations, and publishes thought leadership papers in technical publications and industry groups.
  • Generates leads and new business opportunities by networking with existing and prospective clients, as well as leveraging industry relationships.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of industry experience with 5+ years of client facing & business development experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Proven track record in client development and revenue generation, with established contacts in the industry and regulatory sectors
  • Must be a Team Player. Ability to work in a collaborative environment with other business development, sector, program, and operational leaders.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Professional certification/License Is a plus
