About the Role
We are seeking an Advisor to join a growing Economics & Infrastructure Advisory team in Sydney. This role is ideal for an economist or infrastructure advisory professional looking to work on some of Australia's most significant transport, infrastructure, energy, and public sector projects.
You will provide economic, strategic, and commercial advice to government and private sector clients, supporting investment decisions, business cases, policy development, and infrastructure planning initiatives. Experience in areas such as cost-benefit analysis, economic appraisal, demand forecasting, regulatory economics, or infrastructure strategy will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of economic and strategic advisory engagements across transport, infrastructure, energy, and social infrastructure sectors.
- Develop business cases, economic appraisals, and investment assessments.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis, economic modelling, and demand forecasting.
- Analyse market, policy, and regulatory issues affecting infrastructure projects.
- Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, and recommendations.
- Engage with government agencies, infrastructure owners, and private sector stakeholders.
- Support project management activities, including budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and proposal preparation.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Commerce, Public Policy, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3-8 years of experience in economics, infrastructure advisory, strategy consulting, or a related field.
- Experience in business case development, economic appraisal, economic modelling, or policy analysis.
- Exposure to infrastructure sectors such as transport, energy, water, urban development, or government services is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex economic concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
