The Role
As a Field Operations Manager, you will lead both field and fabrication operations, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and profitably. You'll play a critical role in achieving gross profit targets, strengthening union relationships, and driving innovative construction strategies across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field and fabrication operations to deliver projects aligned with profit plans
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local union leadership, staying current on agreements and resolving escalations
- Collaborate across divisions to share best practices, manpower strategies, and execution methods
- Negotiate trade concessions and project labor agreements during procurement and delivery phases
- Support project planning and execution strategies, including constructability and labor optimization
- Contribute to "Must Win" pursuits through estimating, fabrication strategy, productivity planning, and execution approaches
- Monitor emerging products and recommend adoption where appropriate
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in MEP trade management (electrical preferred), with a strong track record of improving project margins
- Deep knowledge of construction methods, materials, and MEP systems
- Strong leadership in strategic planning, workforce management, and operational execution
- Skilled in complex problem-solving and cross-functional coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
