Field Service Technician
We are currently working closely with a leading global water analytical instrumentation company who specialize in delivering high-quality products and services to ensure the accurate analysis and monitoring of water quality. Due to recent growth, the company is hiring in Melbourne and looking for a skilled Field Service Technician / Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our water analytical instrumentation at customer sites. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain water analytical instruments at customer locations.
- Diagnose and repair technical issues with instrumentation and related equipment.
- Provide on-site training and technical support to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and performance checks to ensure optimal operation of instruments.
- Document service activities, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and customer feedback.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and tools required for field service activities.
- Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues and improve service processes.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in water analytical instrumentation and related technologies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Trade Certificate (highly preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service engineering, preferably in water analytical instrumentation or a similar industry.
- Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and repairing analytical instruments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
- Valid driver's license.
