Hiring: Group Manager - Design (Electrical)
Location: Melbourne, Australia (office-based)
Reporting to: General Manager
I'm currently partnering with a growing engineering consultancy in the utilities/infrastructure space to appoint a Group Manager - Design.
This is a high-impact leadership role, responsible for overseeing electrical design delivery, driving team performance, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and mentoring a team of design professionals
- Overseeing electrical network design delivery (UG/OH) in line with industry standards
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders
- Identifying risks and proactively resolving project challenges
- Driving continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices
- Providing technical leadership across the team
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience in electrical design within utilities/infrastructure
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and projects
- Solid understanding of compliance, safety, and industry standards
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
