Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for underground utility projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily field operations for utility construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage crews, subcontractors, and equipment on-site.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality control.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and progress updates.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions in real-time.
- Conduct site inspections and enforce safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in underground utility construction (gas, water, sewer).
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with horizontal directional drilling (HDD).
- Familiarity with Gold Shovel Standard (GSS) practices.
- Proficiency in construction management software and mobile reporting tools.
