Live Event Account Executive (Corporate Events) - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Business Development Manager to lead new business acquisition across our corporate events division. This is a fully remote, hunter-focused role - the primary objective is to identify, pursue, and close new client relationships to drive revenue growth.
This is not an account management position. We are looking for someone who thrives on opening doors, building pipeline, and winning new logos within the corporate events space.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Prospect, identify, and pursue new business opportunities across corporate clients, targeting brands, agencies, and organisations investing in live events and experiences
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive outreach including cold calling, networking, LinkedIn, industry events, and referrals
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with company revenue targets and growth objectives
- Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach and discovery through to proposal, pitch, negotiation, and close
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
Client Engagement & Relationship Building
- Identify and engage key decision-makers (Marketing Directors, Heads of Events, Procurement, C-Suite) at target organisations
- Conduct discovery calls and needs assessments to understand client objectives and position tailored event solutions
- Develop compelling proposals, pitch decks, and RFP responses in collaboration with creative and production teams
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate leads and build brand visibility
Strategy & Market Intelligence
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities within the corporate events landscape
- Provide regular pipeline reporting, sales forecasts, and market feedback to leadership
- Collaborate with marketing to support lead generation campaigns, content strategy, and brand positioning
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings based on client needs and market demand
Requirements
- 5-10+ years of proven new business development experience within the corporate events, experiential marketing, or agency space
- Demonstrated track record of winning new clients and consistently hitting or exceeding revenue targets
- Strong existing network and relationships within the corporate events, brand, or agency world
- Hunter mentality - energised by prospecting, cold outreach, and opening new doors
- Experience selling event production, experiential, AV, or creative services to corporate clients
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and pipeline management
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, pitches, and industry events as needed
