LVI Associates is looking for a Managing Director in Chicago with deep expertise in business valuation, litigation support, and expert witness testimony. About the Role:
As Managing Director, you will lead and expand the firm's valuation and litigation support practice. You'll work closely with attorneys, corporate clients, and stakeholders to provide defensible valuations, expert reports, and courtroom testimony in high-stakes legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage valuation engagements for M&A, shareholder disputes, bankruptcy, and other complex scenarios.
- Provide expert witness testimony in state and federal courts.
- Develop litigation strategies and support attorneys with financial analysis and expert reports.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development efforts.
- Maintain and grow client relationships through thought leadership and exceptional service.
Ideal Candidate:
- CPA qualified or equivalent, with 15+ years of experience in business valuation and forensic accounting.
- Proven track record as an expert witness in financial disputes.
- Accredited credentials (ASA, CFA, ABV, CVA etc.).
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and leading teams.
