Position Overview
We are seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join a dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role offers the flexibility to work either part-time or full-time, making it ideal for experienced professionals looking for autonomy while still contributing to meaningful projects.
The PLS will play a key role in overseeing survey deliverables, reviewing work, and providing technical expertise to support a variety of land development and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and certify survey documents, including plats, ALTA surveys, and boundary surveys
- Provide oversight and quality control for survey teams and deliverables
- Interpret legal descriptions, deeds, and survey data
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Ensure all survey work meets state regulations and industry standards
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff as needed
Qualifications
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license (required)
- 5+ years of experience in land surveying
- Strong knowledge of boundary, ALTA, and topographic surveys
- Experience reviewing and signing off on survey work
- Familiarity with survey software and CAD platforms
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment
