This is a principal-level opportunity for an experienced environmental professional to help grow an established presence in the Raleigh-Durham market with a privately owned firm. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys expanding upon an existing foundation, leveraging current projects, clients, and infrastructure, while playing a key part in scaling operations and contributing to the development of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build upon an existing regional practice by expanding client relationships and supporting steady growth across the Raleigh-Durham area
- Support the continued development of a local office, including team growth, mentoring, recruiting, and overall operational support
- Manage and grow a portfolio of site assessment and remediation projects for industrial, commercial, and manufacturing clients while providing technical leadership and oversight
- Mentor project teams and provide technical guidance to drive quality, consistency, and professional development across staff
- Represent the firm externally through industry organizations, conferences, and technical publications while supporting broader strategic growth initiatives
Qualifications:
- 10 (ten) or more years of experience as an engineer, geologist, or hydrogeologist focused on environmental investigation and remediation projects
- Professional licensure required (PE or PG)
- Experience supporting business development efforts, with an understanding of client relationship management and revenue contribution expectations
- Background working with industrial, commercial, and/or manufacturing clients
- Interest in contributing to the growth of an existing team and regional presence

- Existing satellite presence in the Triangle area, with plans to establish a permanent office
