Senior BMS Engineer
We are seeking a Senior BMS Engineer to support the design and delivery of complex, high-performance data center projects across Europe. As part of their continued growth in there data center department, we are seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to lead Building Management System design and integration across hyperscale and colocation developments.
This role sits within a multidisciplinary engineering team, working closely with mechanical, electrical, and digital specialists to deliver resilient, efficient, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and specification of BMS systems for large-scale data center projects
- Develop and review control philosophies, network architecture, and system integration strategies
- Coordinate with MEP design teams to ensure seamless integration of HVAC, electrical, and critical systems
- Define points lists, I/O schedules, and sequences of operation
- Engage with clients, operators, and contractors to align design with operational requirements
- Support tendering processes, including technical specifications and vendor evaluations
- Review and validate contractor designs, submittals, and shop drawings
- Provide technical input during construction, commissioning, and handover phases
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity requirements, and best practices
- Contribute to digital engineering and smart building strategies, including data analytics and optimization
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of experience in BMS / controls engineering
- Strong track record delivering data center or mission-critical projects
- Deep understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies in high-availability environments
