Senior Construction PM(Substation Experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Field Project Manager to lead complex substation construction projects from planning through execution. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact energy infrastructure projects, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked on Exelon or PECO projects.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing field operations in high-voltage substation environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of substation construction projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Serve as the primary on-site representative, managing subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Oversee safety compliance, quality assurance, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and client teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and daily field reports.
  • Ensure adherence to utility standards, particularly those of Exelon and PECO, where applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in utility-scale substation construction, with at least 5 years in a project management or field leadership role.
  • Direct experience managing projects for Exelon, PECO, or similar utility clients is strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of substation systems, including civil, structural, and electrical components.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA and utility safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).

Preferred Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • OSHA 30
  • Utility-specific safety training (e.g., Exelon/PECO onboarding)
