Site Civil Project Manager
Position Overview:
The Site Civil Project Manager is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality project delivery, and strong client relationships. This role involves technical oversight, team management, strategic planning, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development
- Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring, and performance management for team members.
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate training opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Participate in performance evaluations, compensation planning, and staffing decisions.
- Project Oversight & Technical Execution
- Direct or perform engineering studies, design work, and technical documentation in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Oversee design calculations, drawing reviews, and quality assurance processes.
- Workload & Resource Management
- Plan and manage team workload using standard resource planning tools.
- Coordinate with other teams to balance resources and share work across disciplines.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and fee estimates.
- Mentor staff on client management and project delivery best practices.
- Strategic & Organizational Contribution
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and committees to support organizational goals.
- Contribute to long-term planning and implementation of strategic objectives.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Key requirements:
- Accredited engineering degree with 7+ years of industry experience; PE license preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge in design, construction standards, and project execution.
- Proficient in engineering tools, Microsoft Office, and PDF markup software.
- Proven leadership in managing teams, mentoring staff, and delivering complex projects.
- Effective communicator with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Skilled in business development, proposal writing, and strategic planning.
- Able to balance multiple priorities and drive high-quality, on-time results.
