The Opportunity
A growing mechanical and plumbing contractor in Dallas-Fort Worth is seeking VDC Detailers at all experience levels to support a strong backlog of commercial, healthcare, industrial, and large-scale MEP projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical or Plumbing VDC Detailer who wants long-term stability, exposure to complex projects, and a collaborative environment with project managers, engineers, and field teams.
What You'll Be Working On
You'll support the same high-quality projects as the project management team, including:
- Commercial and mixed-use developments
- Healthcare and institutional facilities
- Industrial and large-scale mechanical/plumbing systems
Projects will be tailored to your background (mechanical or plumbing).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop layouts for mechanical and/or plumbing systems
- Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks
- Support coordination meetings with project managers, engineers, and trade partners
- Assist with shop drawings, spooling, and field-ready documentation
- Maintain model accuracy through construction and revisions
Software & Tools
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
- Revit (required)
- Navisworks
- AutoCAD
- BIM 360 / ACC (plus)
- Fabrication plug-ins (a plus, not required)
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a VDC Detailer, BIM Modeler, or Mechanical/Plumbing Detailer
- Background in mechanical or plumbing construction strongly preferred
- Open to junior, mid-level, and senior detailers
- Strong understanding of construction workflows and coordination
- Ability to work collaboratively with field and project teams
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $90,000-$125,000 depending on experience
