Architectural Designer - Building Enclosure
A leading multidisciplinary AEC firm in Los Angeles is seeking an Architectural Designer to support their building enclosure team. This is an excellent opportunity for a design professional with a background in architecture and a working knowledge of building envelope systems who is looking to grow within a technically focused and collaborative environment.
Position Overview:
The Architectural Designer will assist in the evaluation, design, and documentation of building enclosure systems across a variety of project types. While deep expertise in envelope systems is not required, a foundational understanding of building systems and a strong interest in enclosure design and performance are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the design and detailing of façade, roofing, and waterproofing systems
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants on both new construction and existing building investigations
Contribute to field assessments, technical reports, and drawing packages
Assist in developing construction documents and specifications
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in architectural design or a related discipline
Exposure to building envelope concepts and construction practices
Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
