We are working with a growing building automation business that is part of a larger mechanical group with an international footprint, including offices in Dubai, New York City, Boston, and India. The team delivers projects across data centres in Ireland, as well as pharma and commercial environments, supporting major end clients such as Amazon and Facebook.
They are looking for a field-focused Building Automation Programmer / Engineer to support the delivery of 4-5 live projects. This role will suit someone with strong hands-on experience programming and commissioning DDC/BMS systems, ideally across platforms such as Honeywell, Delta Controls, and JCI. Experience with Tridium Niagara would be a strong advantage.
Key responsibilities
- Program, commission, and troubleshoot building automation / BMS systems
- Work closely with site teams to support installation, startups, and system integration
- Modify graphics, sequences, and control strategies as required
- Carry out point-to-point checks, testing, and onsite problem-solving
- Support projects across commercial, pharma, and mission-critical environments
Ideal background
- Strong experience as a BMS / BAS Programmer or Controls Engineer
- Hands-on knowledge of DDC systems such as Honeywell, Delta, or JCI
- Niagara / Tridium experience highly desirable
- Comfortable working in the field and supporting projects onsite
- Experience in data centre, commercial, or pharma projects would be beneficial
