Position Overview
We're looking for a Digital Solutions Delivery Lead to guide a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, engineers, and application developers in creating innovative digital solutions for the water sector. This role blends technical leadership with strategic vision-driving the design, development, and scaling of cloud-based platforms, analytics, dashboards, and AI/ML models that empower utilities and infrastructure clients.
You'll work at the intersection of engineering and technology, ensuring every digital product is secure, maintainable, and impactful-transforming concepts into scalable, compliant, and value-driven tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team in designing and deploying digital tools.
- Translate business and engineering needs into actionable solution roadmaps aligned with organizational digital strategies.
- Manage project lifecycles-from concept through deployment-ensuring quality, timeliness, and measurable outcomes.
- Direct development of reusable frameworks, dashboards, APIs, and automation scripts.
- Oversee integration of machine learning, data pipelines, and application frontends within hybrid cloud environments (Azure/Databricks/Power Platform).
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and scalability requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to embed engineering logic into digital workflows.
- Support business development efforts by defining technical approaches and innovation strategies.
- Foster a culture of experimentation and responsible innovation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., generative AI, digital twins, workflow automation) and recommend adoption strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Advanced certifications in cloud architecture, data management, or AI/ML preferred.
- 10+ years delivering data, analytics, or digital solutions in engineering, infrastructure, or environmental sectors.
- Proven success leading cross-functional teams in secure, scalable platform delivery.
- Experience with Azure or similar cloud ecosystems, data pipelines, dashboards, and ML models.
- Familiarity with engineering datasets (SCADA, GIS, AMI, hydraulic models).
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Power BI, React, Databricks, Azure Data Factory.
- Strong understanding of MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native design.
- Knowledge of data governance, access control, and compliance frameworks.
