About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Manager to join our team in Chicago. This role will lead the development and implementation of BIM strategies for electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developments within the city.
Candidates must be local to the Chicago area and have a strong understanding of regional codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all electrical BIM processes and workflows for multiple projects.
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, templates, and protocols for electrical systems.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical models.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BIM technicians and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and client expectations.
- Conduct quality checks and clash detection to maintain model accuracy and integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in BIM management, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles and construction processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with local codes and standards in Chicago is a plus.
