Position Overview:
The Licensed Project Architect will lead the design and documentation of healthcare-related architectural projects. This role involves close coordination with internal teams, consultants, and clients to ensure that design intent is maintained throughout all phases of a project-from concept through construction. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating environments that support health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams with a collaborative and communicative approach to ensure design excellence and successful project outcomes.
- Work directly with clients to define spatial and functional requirements and translate them into comprehensive design solutions.
- Develop project layouts and integrate engineering systems into cohesive architectural designs.
- Produce detailed drawings and construction documents using CAD and BIM software.
- Oversee construction administration, including site visits and contractor coordination.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with client expectations.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
- Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless project integration.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture (5-year B.Arch or equivalent).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the A/E industry, with at least 6 years as a licensed architect.
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare architecture is required.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Active architectural license; NCARB certification and LEED accreditation are preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% based on project needs.
