About the Role
We are partnering with a leading Phoenix-based architecture and design studio known for creating immersive hospitality environments across the Southwest and beyond. The firm is seeking a Mid-Level Designer or Architect with strong experience in hospitality, resort, spa, or casino projects. This role is ideal for someone who combines conceptual creativity with technical follow-through and thrives in highly collaborative, fast-moving project teams.
You will contribute to the design and documentation of world-class guest experiences from luxury resorts and boutique hotels to destination spas and high-performance casino environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and documentation of hospitality-focused projects including resorts, spas, hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues, and gaming environments.
- Participate in concept development, including diagrams, mood boards, renderings, and presentations.
- Develop drawings through all phases: schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
- Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams as well as consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders.
- Assist with material selections, design detailing, and guest experience storytelling.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure design intent is maintained and constructible.
- Participate in project meetings, client presentations, and consultant coordination sessions.
- Support quality control and help ensure compliance with applicable building codes, ADA guidelines, and jurisdictional requirements.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture, Environmental Design, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience, preferably with a strong emphasis on hospitality, resort, or gaming design.
- Proficiency in Revit required; additional experience with SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, Rhino, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Strong design sensibilities with the ability to translate conceptual thinking into buildable solutions.
- Solid understanding of hospitality programmatic needs, guest experience flow, and operational considerations.
- Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and technical detailing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a highly collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting design ideas to teams and clients.
- Architectural licensure not required but considered a plus.
