About the Role
As a Roadway Project Engineer, you will assist in the design of roadway design projects, particularly for state transportation agencies. You will be responsible for ensuring quality and compliance in project deliverables, and contributing to the successful execution of complex engineering assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Project Engineer on roadway design projects.
- Lead and mentor junior engineering staff in preparing plans, reports, and specifications.
- Develop and review project documents for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze complex engineering problems and determine appropriate design solutions.
- Coordinate project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Participate in proposal development and client communications.
- Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Engineer Intern (EI) license required, Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred
- 3+ years of experience in roadway design, preferably with FDOT projects.
- Experienced in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and familiarity with Design-Build projects is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
