Job Title: Senior Project Hydrogeologist

Location: Seattle, WA | Portland, OR | San Francisco, CA

Employment-type: Flexible/Hybrid

Salary: $110,000-$175,000

Join a leading environmental and engineering consulting team, where you'll manage complex hydrogeologic investigations, groundwater modeling, aquifer testing, water-resource assessments, and remediation design. You'll lead projects for private developers, utilities, and infrastructure clients across the western U.S., collaborating closely with multidisciplinary environmental professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead hydrogeologic field investigations, sampling, and data analysis
  • Develop conceptual site models and implement numerical groundwater flow/transport models
  • Design/manage aquifer tests and groundwater monitoring networks
  • Evaluate remediation alternatives and water resource strategies
  • Oversee technical staff; provide mentoring and quality control
  • Support business development; proposal writing, client meetings, expanding existing accounts
  • Prepare clear technical reports and interface with regulators, clients, and contractors

Qualifications:

Required

  • MS in geology/hydrogeology or related field
  • 8-12+ years of relevant consulting experience
  • Proficiency in GMS/Modflow or equivalent groundwater modeling tools
  • Demonstrated ability in fieldwork, well installation, aquifer testing
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and supervisory skills

Preferred

  • Active professional license (PG, PE, CHG/LHG)
  • Experience with CEQA/NEPA, regulatory permitting, municipal or utility projects
