Senior Wildlife Biologist
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Biologist to join our team and lead complex environmental projects in the Central Valley. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects involving biological surveys, regulatory compliance, and habitat restoration. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical expertise to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee biological field surveys, habitat assessments, and species monitoring.
- Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and environmental documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Serve as a technical lead on projects, mentoring junior staff and coordinating field efforts.
- Interface with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to support project objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in biological consulting or environmental sciences.
- Strong knowledge of California species, habitats, and regulatory frameworks (ESA, CEQA, CWA).
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and lead field teams effectively.
