[SIN] Senior/Principal Engineer - Electrical/Mechanical
Requirements
- Provide regional engineering support for large-scale construction projects across semiconductor and high‑tech manufacturing sites, covering new builds, expansions, and major upgrades.
- Review construction scopes, validate technical requirements, and ensure proper interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications during installation.
- Coordinate with site teams and contractors to manage construction execution, installation quality, safety compliance, and alignment to design intent.
- Conduct field verification, site walks, and readiness assessments to identify deviations, construction risks, and corrective action needs.
- Support shutdown planning, system tie‑ins, utility cutovers, and other critical construction activities within live semiconductor or high‑tech environments.
- Lead or assist in Testing & Commissioning (T&C) of facility mechanical or electrical systems, ensuring performance meets design and operational requirements.
- Facilitate smooth turnover to operations teams by validating system functionality, resolving commissioning gaps, and supporting documentation and handover readiness.
- Promote consistency in construction standards, build methodologies, installation practices, and quality expectations across regional sites.
- Contribute to reliability‑related improvements by supporting system upgrades, end‑of‑life replacements, sustainability enhancements, and construction‑heavy improvement initiatives.
- Review project schedules, monitor critical path activities, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to resolve construction delays or bottlenecks.
- Provide engineering input for capital planning, risk evaluation, and prioritization of infrastructure projects throughout the region.
- Maintain active communication with internal engineering groups, construction partners, and operations teams to ensure alignment throughout project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of construction‑focused facilities engineering experience, ideally in semiconductor, high‑tech, or mission‑critical industrial environments.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams across construction, operations, design, and project management.
- Hands‑on experience with field installation, commissioning, and startup of facility systems.
