The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed structural investigations across commercial, industrial, and institutional assets
Carry out site inspections to assess damage, building condition, and structural performance
Evaluate causes of structural failure including:
- Foundation movement
- Construction or design defects
- Fire or explosion damage
- Environmental or loading impacts
Produce clear, well-structured technical reports with defensible conclusions
Communicate findings directly with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Take ownership of projects from initial assessment through to resolution
Collaborate with internal experts across multiple engineering disciplines
Contribute to continuous improvement in processes, reporting, and client delivery
What They're Looking For
8+ years experience within structural or civil engineering
Professional Engineer (PE), or working toward licensure
Experience within:
- Building assessments
- Structural inspections
- Repair or rehabilitation design
- Site or field-based engineering work
Strong written communication skills, particularly in report writing
Confidence in client-facing situations
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
A curious, proactive mindset with an interest in problem solving and investigation
