Survey Department Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Survey Manager to lead and oversee survey operations in our Lexington, KY office. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality surveying services across a variety of infrastructure and land development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate field and office survey operations.
- Supervise and mentor survey staff, including field crews and office technicians.
- Prepare and review boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define project scope and deliverables.
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of survey equipment and software.
Qualifications:
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Kentucky (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive surveying experience, including leadership roles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and GPS/robotic total station equipment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
