Overview
The Vice President of Integrated Logistics Solutions (ILS) provides executive leadership over engineering functions supporting large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) capital projects. This role is accountable for shaping engineering strategy, ensuring high-quality execution, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
This leader will oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams, drive continuous improvement, and partner closely with operations, commercial, and project management groups to achieve business objectives across complex energy infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a culture focused on safety, ethics, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence within the engineering organization.
- Lead engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Build and manage a high-performing engineering organization capable of delivering multiple concurrent capital projects in the energy sector.
- Partner cross-functionally with teams in operations, commercial, procurement, safety, and project management to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee project planning activities including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
- Establish engineering standards, systems, and processes aligned with industry best practices and company strategy.
- Implement and continuously enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance.
- Monitor evolving industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements, incorporating insights into strategic planning.
- Provide executive-level reporting on project performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead talent development initiatives, including mentorship, succession planning, and team capability building.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master's) preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering leadership experience in capital project environments, preferably within energy or industrial sectors
- Demonstrated success delivering large, complex EPC projects on schedule and within budget
- Strong knowledge of engineering, project execution, and regulatory frameworks related to energy infrastructure or midstream operations
- Proven experience leading engineering teams across multiple locations or regions
- Expertise in cost estimating, scheduling, procurement, and permitting processes
- Experience developing engineering strategies and standardized processes for global project execution
- Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting technical and financial data
- Proficiency with engineering and project management systems
Certifications (Preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred but not required)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based with periodic travel to field and project sites
- May involve exposure to construction environments, including uneven terrain, heavy equipment, and varying weather conditions
- Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform light physical tasks (lifting up to approximately 25 lbs.)
- Occasional extended hours or on-call availability may be required
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background and substance testing where applicable
- Availability for occasional travel and extended work hours as business needs dictate
