Engineer Diver
A growing engineering firm is seeking a motivated Marine Engineer Diver to join its team in delivering services to a diverse nationwide clientele. This role involves a mix of engineering, project management, and field inspection work, including dive inspections, remotely operated vehicle (ROV) inspections, underwater imaging, bathymetric surveys, drone and lidar surveys, topside inspections, and technical reporting.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will bring strong structural engineering skills, be a commercially certified diver, and demonstrate technical proficiency and attention to detail. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform marine and structural inspections using diving and remote technologies.
- Conduct bathymetric, drone, and lidar surveys.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project planning and execution.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- ADCI-certified diver or equivalent military diving qualification.
- 4+ years of inspection experience in marine or structural environments.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to sit for the exam.
- Strong technical and computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience with surveying, imaging, drone operations, and ROV inspections is a plus.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and deadline-driven work ethic.
