General Superintendent - Data Center
We're recruiting an experienced Lead Superintendent to lead field execution on large, complex commercial and industrial construction projects. This role oversees safety, quality, schedule, cost, and team performance from mobilization through closeout on projects typically ranging from $30M-$100M+.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day jobsite execution and coordination of all trade contractors and site services
- Serve as the primary field safety representative; enforce compliance and drive a safety-first culture
- Manage project schedules, logistics, shutdowns, tie-ins, and general conditions budgets
- Oversee quality planning and execution, including development and maintenance of the Quality in Construction (QIC) plan
- Maintain accurate field documentation, daily reports, and T&M tracking
- Proactively resolve field issues related to sequencing, jurisdiction, and constructability
- Lead contractor meetings, daily huddles, stretch/flex planning, and pre-task plans
- Train, mentor, and manage Superintendents and Field Engineers
- Support preconstruction, scope development, buyout, and collaboration with business development as needed
- Build strong working relationships with clients, trade partners, unions, and local stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- 10-15 years of experience leading large commercial or industrial construction projects
- Hyperscale data center experience required
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- STS-C certification
- First Aid, CPR, AED, and Stop the Bleed training
Skills & Experience
- Proven leadership of large, multi-trade project teams
- Strong understanding of all construction phases, means and methods, scheduling, and cost control
- High level of construction document and drawing literacy
- Experience with pull planning and industry-standard construction software
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain safety, quality, and schedule discipline in fast-paced environments
