Geotechnical Vice President
You will serve as the firm's operational, technical, and business leader, guiding teams, overseeing proposals, managing clients, and ensuring the smooth operation of all geotechnical and construction‑related services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Operations & Strategy
- Run day‑to‑day firm operations, ensuring efficient workflows and top‑tier technical output.
- Develop and execute business strategies to support continued growth.
- Oversee drilling operations, lab testing, construction inspection, and field services.
Drive Business Development
- Lead proposal development, pricing strategies, and client relationship expansion.
- Identify new markets, opportunities, and partnerships across the Mid‑Atlantic region (MD, VA, DC, WV, PA).
Oversee Geotechnical Engineering Excellence
- Direct geotechnical investigations, instrumentation programs, and lab testing workflows.
- Ensure high‑quality engineering deliverables for buildings, highways, dams, hazardous waste sites, and infrastructure projects.
Lead & Mentor Teams
- Oversee engineers, geologists, drill crews, and certified field technicians.
- Support professional development and maintain the firm's strong quality and safety standards (including HAZWOPER‑certified personnel).
Prepare for Leadership Transition
- Work closely with the retiring owner to assume full executive oversight of the business.
- Continue the firm's legacy of quality, trust, and technical precision
