What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 12+ years of experience in the engineering industry
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience managing FDOT projects
Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering design projects from concept through completion
- Oversee multidisciplinary efforts, including corridor studies, traffic operations, safety initiatives, and roadway/bridge design
- Direct the development of engineering reports, plans, specifications, and community engagement materials
- Review and manage preliminary and final studies, technical documentation, and cost estimates
- Support contract bidding and administration processes as needed
- Coordinate with municipal, state, and county agencies, as well as public stakeholders
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients, contractors, and project teams
- Resolve complex technical and coordination challenges, including design conflicts, public engagement issues, and stakeholder alignment
