Role Overview
As a Senior Data Center Project Manager, you'll lead the planning, budgeting, and risk management for global data center builds. You'll collaborate closely with design and construction teams to translate ambitious capacity goals into actionable project plans, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders from kickoff to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop integrated schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, covering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Own project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and change-order governance; report earned-value KPIs weekly.
- Facilitate phase-gate and 30/60/90% design reviews; maintain RACI matrices and action logs.
- Manage contract lifecycles including RFPs, bid analysis, awards, PCO tracking, and close-out documentation.
- Identify critical-path and long-lead risks (e.g., transformers, chillers, switchgear) and drive mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the central source of truth for internal leadership and external partners, delivering clear and concise status updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline; construction management certification preferred.
- 7+ years of project management experience in hyperscale data centers, large industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- PMI-PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Deep understanding of CSA and MEP construction phases, procurement workflows, and cost controls.
- Proficient in scheduling (P6/Project), cost management (Procore, Ares, Excel), and collaboration tools (Smartsheet, Confluence).
- Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting to executives and field teams.
- Willingness to be based on-site for the full duration of the project.
