BIM Programmer (MEP)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom applications, scripts, and plugins for BIM platforms such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Rhino/Grasshopper.
- Automate repetitive tasks and streamline data exchange between BIM models and other systems (e.g., ERP, estimating, fabrication).
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to identify workflow bottlenecks and propose technical solutions.
- Integrate BIM tools with cloud platforms and databases (e.g., Forge, Dynamo, SQL).
- Support the deployment and training of new tools across project teams.
- Stay current with BIM software updates and emerging technologies in computational design and automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience developing software or scripts for BIM applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Revit API, Dynamo, AutoCAD .NET API, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based BIM platforms (Autodesk Forge, BIM 360).
- Knowledge of parametric design tools (Grasshopper, Rhino.Inside).
- Understanding of construction workflows and fabrication processes.
