Job Overview: Seeking a highly motivated and experienced structural engineer to lead a team in bridge assessment and design for DOT engineering contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience in bridge and transportation design projects and possess strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for clients and government agencies.
- Team Leadership: Direct teams of inspectors and designers, providing technical training and career development.
- Quality Control: Oversee the use of engineering and design software to prepare documents.
- Technical Expertise: Provide expertise in complex engineering computations and conventional practices.
- Business Development: Assist in business development efforts and engage in professional organizations.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with clients.
- Safety: Ensure staff receive specialized training in health and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Experience: 15+ years of progressive engineering experience, including project management.
- Licenses: Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or Structural Engineer (S.E.) certification.
- Skills: Competency in field of expertise, strong client relationship skills, and proficiency in engineering software.
