Client Service Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction and engagement.
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering projects for multiple clients, typically medium to large in scale and moderately complex.
  • Establish and sustain extensive professional connections with key engineers and decision-makers across organizations and companies.
  • Take full technical ownership of project interpretation, organization, execution, and coordination.
  • Define project goals and requirements, and structure programs and initiatives accordingly.
  • Explore new subject areas, define project scopes, identify key challenges, and develop innovative solutions and methodologies.
  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, contractual commitments, and quality standards.
  • Supervise and guide multiple team leaders or subordinate supervisors.
  • Mentor and train internal staff to support professional development and team growth.
  • Lead the planning and development of projects involving unique or high-impact challenges that influence major organizational programs.
  • Create standards and best practices for a wide range of engineering activities.
  • Operate independently, making authoritative decisions on complex technical issues.
  • Contribute to proposal development, client interviews, and contract negotiations.
  • Support and strengthen the firm's relationships with client leadership.
  • Identify and manage subconsultants providing services on projects.
  • Actively participate in professional organizations, including presenting technical papers, serving on committees, or holding leadership roles.
  • Local travel within Southern California is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience (excluding advanced degrees).
  • Proven experience in delivering projects related to water and wastewater treatment, water reuse, collection systems, transmission/distribution, pipeline rehabilitation, and pump stations.
  • Strong ability to deliver high-quality work within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Skilled in evaluating team performance and project outcomes, with the ability to recommend strategic changes.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering.
  • Experience in both design and construction phases of projects.

Compensation

Salary Range: $150,000 - $220,000 annually
This range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and organizational needs.
