Key Responsibilities
- Perform field testing and inspection of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
- Observe construction activities and verify compliance with project specifications and approved plans.
- Collect samples and perform testing in accordance with industry standards and established procedures.
- Prepare detailed daily reports documenting test results, measurements, observations, and site conditions.
- Conduct basic laboratory testing of soil and concrete materials.
- Compile, analyze, and process field and laboratory data.
- Assist with the maintenance, calibration, and verification of testing equipment.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, project managers, engineers, and client representatives.
- Support project teams by identifying construction-related issues and reporting findings.
- Follow all company and project safety requirements.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- ACI, ICC, MCA, or similar industry certifications are a plus, but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Experience
- 1-2 years of construction materials testing, inspection, field sampling, or laboratory testing experience preferred.
- Entry-level candidates with relevant education, construction experience, or a strong desire to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of mathematics, science, and construction principles.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to use computers, tablets, and mobile technology to complete and submit reports.
- Ability to read construction plans, specifications, maps, and drawings, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to use testing equipment, measurement tools, and perform basic calculations accurately.
