We are seeking an experienced CMT Lab Manager with deep soils expertise to join our team for a high-profile, 5‑year Army Corps of Engineers project. Upon completion, our expanded operations and permanent lab facilities will create long-term career stability in the South Florida region.

What You'll Do
- Lead, manage, and maintain the construction materials testing laboratory to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of all laboratory equipment.
- Maintain FDOT lab qualifications and prepare for recurring audits.
- Manage documentation, procedures, and requirements for accreditation and certification.
- Ensure testing results are delivered within required timelines and clearly communicated.
- Recruit, develop, and train lab and field personnel.
- Directly supervise daily lab operations and high-level testing procedures.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Management Program, ASTM, AASHTO, and project-specific requirements.
- Collaborate closely with department managers to ensure adequate staffing and resources for the project.
- Support updates to SOPs and QMS documentation.
- Assist with Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) duties.
- Perform physical tasks, including occasional 50 lb lifting.
Minimum Requirements
- 15+ years' experience in the establishment, operation, and supervision of a large construction materials testing laboratory.
- Strong background in soils testing - this is essential for the Army Corps of Engineers requirements.
- Professional, effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
