Community Manager

A leading organization in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Manager of Community Engagement & External Affairs to support its growing portfolio of clean energy projects across the United States. This role sits within a broader communications function and works closely with development and operations teams to ensure strong stakeholder relationships and effective project communication strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead stakeholder engagement efforts across all project stages
  • Build relationships with community leaders, officials, and partners
  • Develop outreach materials and manage public-facing communications
  • Coordinate community events and charitable initiatives
  • Identify risks, address concerns, and support project messaging
  • Manage external PR partners and ensure consistent communications

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in communications, public affairs, or stakeholder engagement (energy/infrastructure preferred)
  • Strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments
  • Organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel (30-40%)
