Control Engineer-SKM Engineering-Utah
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer / Programmer to join our team and contribute to the design, programming, and implementation of control systems for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role offers immediate responsibility, mentorship from firm principals, and the opportunity to work on impactful projects that improve communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement PLC programming for water and wastewater systems using Allen Bradley and Modicon platforms.
- Develop and configure HMI systems, primarily using Ignition.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions across design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
- Prepare technical documentation including specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Support proposal development and contribute to business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in programming and software development, with proficiency in Java, Python, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with PPython, Jython, and UI/Web development is a plus.
- Experience with industrial control systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMI); training available for the right candidate.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
