This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional who is passionate about helping utilities solve complex water infrastructure challenges while mentoring teams, developing client relationships, and leading large-scale conveyance programs across the state.
The Role
The Conveyance Practice Leader will provide technical, operational, and strategic leadership for a growing portfolio of water and wastewater conveyance projects, including transmission mains, force mains, gravity sewer systems, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to municipal clients while leading multidisciplinary teams responsible for delivering complex projects from planning through design and construction support. The role will also be heavily involved in business development, client management, staff mentorship, and practice growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Texas water/wastewater conveyance practice.
- Oversee the delivery of major conveyance projects and programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with municipal water and wastewater clients.
- Drive business development efforts and support strategic growth initiatives.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical direction to project managers and engineering teams.
- Support proposal development, project pursuits, and capture planning.
- Collaborate with regional and national leadership to expand market presence.
- Ensure project delivery excellence, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
- Act as a subject matter expert for conveyance infrastructure projects throughout Texas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
- Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Minimum 15 years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading conveyance infrastructure projects and teams.
- Strong understanding of municipal water and wastewater markets across Texas.
- Proven business development and client relationship management experience.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex project portfolios.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
