Data Center Land Development Project Manager
Position Overview
A leading engineering and development consulting firm is seeking a Data Center Land Development Project Manager to support the expansion of its land development practice with a focus on large campus‑scale projects, including data centers. This senior-level role is ideal for an accomplished civil engineer with a strong background in land development who can provide technical leadership, oversee complex site efforts, and help drive strategic growth. Direct data center experience is beneficial but not required. Candidates with adjacent experience such as industrial campuses, logistics hubs, manufacturing facilities, or large-scale mixed‑use developments are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead civil engineering design for major development sites, including grading, utilities, stormwater systems, roadway design, site layout, and supporting infrastructure.
* Direct multidisciplinary engineering teams while establishing technical standards, ensuring quality control, and overseeing project execution.
* Manage full lifecycle project activities from early site assessments and due diligence through entitlement coordination, detailed design, and construction support.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships as the senior technical and project delivery lead.
* Support business development by identifying new opportunities, shaping pursuit strategies, and participating in key client discussions.
* Lead or contribute to the preparation of RFP responses, proposals, scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and detailed fee estimates.
* Mentor engineering staff, support technical development, and foster a collaborative project culture.
Qualifications
* Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
* Extensive experience in civil land development engineering with exposure to large or complex sites.
* Data center experience is a plus but not required.
* Proven leadership in overseeing multidisciplinary teams and delivering major development projects.
* Strong background in business development, client engagement, and proposal preparation.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and team coordination skills.
Compensation and Benefits
* Base salary between $170,000-$200,000
* Eligibility for annual performance-based bonuses.
