About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer specialising in Building Automation Systems (BAS) to join our team. This position involves designing and delivering advanced automation solutions for commercial buildings across the United States, ensuring energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and compliance with ASHRAE and local codes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop control system schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings for BAS projects.
Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including points lists, sequences of operation, and equipment schedules.
Collaborate with project managers, programmers, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project execution.
Review specifications and client requirements to produce accurate and compliant designs.
Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in Building Automation / HVAC controls design.
Strong knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and other open protocols.
Familiarity with platforms such as Niagara N4, Tridium, or similar systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design tools.
Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems integration.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience with energy optimisation strategies and IoT integration.
Knowledge of US building codes and ASHRAE standards.
