Remote Building Automation Programmer (Data Center Projects)
Compensation: Up to $150,000 base salary + annual bonus
Location: Fully Remote (U.S. only)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Programmer with strong, hands‑on expertise in Distech Controls to support large‑scale data center projects. This role is fully remote within the United States and focused on mission‑critical environments where reliability and system uptime are essential.
You'll be responsible for programming, integrating, and supporting advanced BAS/BMS systems across distributed engineering and commissioning teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and deploy Distech Controls (EC‑Net, EC‑BOS, ECL series) for data center BAS/BMS applications.
- Develop and optimize sequences of operation for HVAC, cooling, CRAC/CRAH units, and electrical system integrations.
- Build and refine graphics, dashboards, alarm configurations, and trend logs.
- Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting for active projects.
- Interpret engineering design documents, mechanical plans, and control schematics.
- Provide remote commissioning and startup support for data center facilities.
- Maintain high-quality documentation, version control, and standardization.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Building Automation or Controls Engineering.
- Extensive, hands‑on Distech Controls programming experience (required).
- Strong understanding of BAS/BMS operations, BACnet, Modbus, and control logic.
- Experience delivering or supporting data center automation projects.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand sequences of operation.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and comfort working fully remote.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hyperscale or mission‑critical data center environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring or integration platforms.
- Experience with logic programming, BAS graphics, or scripting tools.
