We are seeking a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) to join our Charlotte-based team. This role is ideal for engineers with a strong foundation in electrical design and a passion for healthcare environments. As an Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for healthcare facilities, ensuring technical excellence, code compliance, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for healthcare facilities.
  • Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) on projects, overseeing design quality and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, mechanical engineers, and client representatives.
  • Prepare and review construction documents, specifications, and engineering calculations.
  • Conduct site visits, assessments, and construction administration tasks.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal quality control and process improvement.
  • Participate in client meetings and support business development efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, with healthcare or institutional project experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software (e.g., SKM, ETAP).
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and healthcare-specific codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
